We all know that the corners, buildings and squares of the historic centre of C\u00e1ceres are unquestionably first-rate stages. At the beginning of June every year and since 1990 these stages are filled with theatre and life in the XXXIII Festival de Teatro Cl\u00e1sico de C\u00e1ceres.
\nThis year is the thirty-third edition and we will be able to experience it without any restrictions and in the best venues of our Monumental City. The nights at the beginning of June are still cool and in the open air the setting holds some of the best performances taken mainly from the Golden Age of our literature. Without closing doors and with the lyrics of Shakespeare or Cervantes, the characters of Lope de Vega or Calder\u00f3n feel at home among the stones of C\u00e1ceres.
\nThis year the Plaza de San Jorge will be the stage for two of the three weeks of the XXXIII Festival de Teatro Cl\u00e1sico de C\u00e1ceres and will pay homage to Molliere on the four hundredth anniversary of his birth. Carmen Gallardo in \"El \u00c1varo\" or Pepe Viyuela in \"Tartuffe\" will invite us to travel back centuries to discover that some things have not changed so much. We will also celebrate in this edition the return to our Festival of the National Classical Theatre Company with a double performance and, as always, the Teatro Extreme\u00f1o will have its stage and the warmth of its audience.
\nMusic, because it is also a time to listen to music. We will have the opportunity to attend three concerts that will allow us, as a result of research, to discover an interesting part of the Spanish musical legacy. And as always, the children will be the protagonists, with four productions especially designed for them and entertaining workshops that will allow them to enter the world of theatre.
\nAt the beginning of June, C\u00e1ceres with its XXXIII Classical Theatre Festival is once again a great plan. A destination where the best of our heritage and our culture invite and welcome you in a Festival that has a halo of magic.
