Eleven years later we had the opportunity to return and when it came to choosing accommodation, it was clear to me that I wanted to feel at home.

Our choice was the Gran Hotel Don Manuel and it couldn't have been better. This beautiful 4 star hotel has a great location, right in the centre of Cáceres, just 2 minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor. This allowed us to visit all the places what to see in Cáceres on foot.

Despite its modern decoration, the building of the Gran Hotel Don Manuel has a long history. For 80 years it was the Colegio San Antonio de Pádua, through which generations and generations of students passed.

The experience at the Gran Hotel Don Manuel was unbeatable. It offers all the comforts and a large number of services such as parking, spa, gym, several restaurants, a nice terrace, meeting rooms... and a strict security protocol against covid 19, as in the same reception they even have a steriliser for pens and keys.

They play live music on the terrace, perfect for summer and winter evenings. Now they have put little stoves to keep you warm in the open air. There we enjoyed some delicious tapas from their gastrobar, which we loved.

We arrived at the hotel very tired after visit Seville and we slept great in their comfortable and spacious beds.

The truth is that we woke up super rested and, in addition, with breakfast we had energy for the whole day. The large buffet consists of a wide variety of sweet and savoury products, all of which are of great quality.

We know for sure, we'll come back! And next time we will go with our little dog Bombón, as the hotel allows pets, something that made us fall in love with the hotel. We can't wait to go back to Extremadura to continue enjoying its beautiful villages, its wonderful landscapes and its delicious gastronomy. See you guys soon!
