As always, for almost 30 years now and uninterruptedly, the beginning of March in Cáceres smells of cinema. Spanish cinema, good cinema. In March, the ReBross Foundation, with the Rebollo brothers at the head of the 19th edition of the Cáceres Spanish Film Festival, puts the finishing touch to a tireless and incessant work that for almost a year prepares the gala that serves as the culmination of this solidarity festival.
In this time they have been able to demonstrate that they do it out of passion for cinema and also for our city and the Gran Hotel Don Manuel can collaborate with this event is something that makes us feel deeply proud.
Proud that the longest-running film festival in our country is held in Cáceres. Proud that it was young people from Cáceres who brought Pedro Almodóvar to the bar La Machacona in Cáceres in 1994. Proud that the aim of the Spanish Film Festival of Cáceres is solidarity and that the work of some becomes help for others. Proud that every March the red carpet is rolled out and that more than 150 actresses, actors, directors, musicians or technicians of our best cinema have walked it. Proud that not even the damn pandemic has been able to stop them. Proud that every year more and better.
Since El Gran Hotel Don Manuel had the opportunity to participate and contribute its enthusiasm and commitment to this Festival, we were there. We couldn't feel happier and more satisfied. To all the Spanish film family and especially to Paco and Tinti (heart and soul of the Spanish Film Festival of Cáceres) we thank you. Thank you for having trusted us these last years. We have been able to offer rest and food to this great family. We have shared wonderful moments, complicity and laughter. You know that you can count on us, on our commitment, on our staff and on our spaces to continue making this festival, the Festival de Cine Español de Cáceres, the festival of all the people of Cáceres. Bigger and better every year.
In March our mouths are full of pride and our hearts are full of cinema.
